Happy St. Patrick's Day

Sabine and I had to go into the city anyway, 'cause we were going to the International Vintage Poster Fair, so we went in a little early and went to the Chicago St. Patrick's Day parade. It was a nice enough day. It was sunny and clear, but it was still too cold for my taste. I'm still not feeling 100% over my chest cold from last month and the cold temps didn't help much, but we had a pretty good time. Here are some pics.

It was a pretty good sized crowd watching the parade. The people who got there early were able to get the limited high ground. It wasn't easy to see much of the parade from where we were standing.

In order to get any of these pictures I had to hold the camera high over my head and hope for the best.

As you can see from this skyline shot, though, it was a beautiful day (just too cold).

And rather than take a LauBen™ style self-portrait, we decided to take this one in the reflection of the "bean".
